The 13th African Games will be held from 8-23 March, 2024 in Ghana (Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast)

A total of 13 matches will be played during the ICC Asia Cup  that include 6 matches in the Group stage followed by six Super 4 stage matches. THE 123RD U.S. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

In the fall of 1897, a group of Los Angeles dwellers organized the Los Angeles Golf Club, and a 16- acre(6.5
ha) lot was engaged at the corner of Pico and Alvarado arterials( now partition of the Alvarado Terrace major
quarter) for a nine- hole golf course. Called” The Windmill Links,” the course was named for a new club
drafted from the bottom of an abandoned windmill. Through the middle ground of 1898, this point served as
the club’s home until the course came too loaded. The club was removed to Pico Heights, at Hobart and 16th
thoroughfares. The new home was named” The Convent Links” for its position behind a cloister near
Rosedale Cemetery. Again, nine holes were laid out for play, but by the spring of 1899, this course and club
had also come too confined for play. The hunt commission for a new point, conforming of the club authors
Joe Sartori and Ed Tufts, set up the club’s new home precisely0.2 long hauls( 300 m) west, on the northeast
corner of Pico and Western. The club was transferred complete to a new point in Beverly Hills, and it was
expanded there. The club also laid out an 18- hole course. The club restarted on May 30, 1911. It now has 36
holes of golf, and tennis courts. The initial golf course was laid out by Joe Sartori, Ed Tufts, Norman
Macbeth, and Charles Orr. latterly, the courses were redesigned by Herbert Fowler and GeorgeC. Thomas,Jr.,
and again by Thomas with WilliamP. Bell in 1927 – 28.

On July 22, 2015, the United States Golf Association( USGA) advertised that Los Angeles Country Club was
chose to host the 123rdU.S. Open in June 2023.( 4) The first major crown held at the club, it’ll be the first
mens’ major in the Los Angeles area in 28 generations.
